What a fantastic opening night for my exhibition Shine a Light. After working on it for the last four months its great to see it all come together and celebrate the work that's gone into it.
I was really touched to see so many people there and it was especially lovely to hear the stories of a few ex miners that had come along to the exhibition. My biggest hope is that my work invokes a sense of nostalgia and people are reminded of feelings from long ago.
The entertainment was fantastic with a surprise acoustic gig from Knuckle and morris dancing from local teams. Safe to say, i well and truly let my hair down and am already thinking about my next Art Walk Exhibition.
